
Youth Mental Health First Aid
Every young person deserves a community of adults who recognize when they’re struggling and know how to help.
Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) equips parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, neighbors, health and human services workers, and anyone who cares about youth, with the tools to make a real difference.
There will be five training sessions offered:
Thursday, June 26, 2025 – 8 AM – 5 PM
Thursday, July 3, 2025 – 8 AM – 5 PM
Thursday, July 24, 2025 – 8 AM – 5 PM
Thursday, August 7, 2025 – 8 AM – 5 PM
Thursday, August 21, 2025 – 8 AM – 5 PM

What You’ll Learn:
Identification of common mental health challenges in youth including anxiety, depression, substance use, eating disorders, ADHD, and more
Approaches to support youth experiencing mental health or substance use crises
Strategies to connect young people to professional help and resources
Application of the 5-step action plan to support youth every day and in crisis situations

You don’t have to be a mental health professional to make a powerful difference. You just need the right training.
This training is being offered at no charge for parents/guardians of WCSI clients, courtesy of WCSI.
The fee for providers and professionals is $35.
