Workshop Success!

We had a great day with an amazing group of people at our first Build Your Own Resources for a Better Life workshop that was held on Thursday, April 25, 2024. Participants learned skills in the following areas and took home a “tool kit” to help them sustain the skills on their own: Budgeting/Financial Planning/Making Sound Financial Decisions, Resume Writing/Interviewing Skills, Homemade Cleaning Products, Indoor Gardening, Basic Sewing and Repairs, Creating Healthy Meals on a Budget, and Positive Affirmations/Self Talk. The tool kits were funded in part by a grant from The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County and The Pittsburgh Foundation. There was a lot of learning, laughter, and friendships made!
